Here´s half our group in an open jeep getting ready for a tour of Tijuca forest.
While in the forest we spent some time at Museo Cuc___, which featured tradional landscape gardens in the Portuguese tradition, with an emphasis on porcelain statuary.
Claire and Aashka found some colorful contemporary sculpture in the gardens.
Chad always seems like a `black and white´ kind of guy - here riding through Tijuca forest.
(tilt head to the left side to view the above picture better!)Another beautiful day spent checking out one of Roberto Burle Marx's garden design. Afterwards we took jeep tour to explore Tijuca Forest. We spotted some black monkeys and some people saw Toucans.

The Sitio looks absolutely beautiful from those pictures! It seems like you are all having a great time. (and nice job with that pepper...you are braver than I)! please tell everyone I say hello and I can't wait to see all the pictures when you return.
